Most people ignore this connection entirely. It explains a lot.
Of all the things that affect your performance in the water, nutrition is the one that gets the least attention — and the one that surprises people most when they finally address it.
This isn't about "eating clean" or taking a handful of supplements. It's about understanding a specific set of connections that most coaches never talk about.
None of this requires a dramatic diet overhaul. It usually means addressing 2-3 specific nutritional gaps — the ones most active adults in their 30s, 40s, and 50s have without knowing it.
What most clients notice when they address the nutrition dimension: Better sleep within 2 weeks. Less tension in the water. Faster recovery between sessions. More consistent energy throughout the day. These all feed back into your water confidence directly.
In the next email I'll share the specific supplements most Train5D clients start with — why we recommend them, and what to look for when choosing quality versions.
For now, here's a simple question to ask yourself: How's your sleep? How's your energy mid-afternoon? How long does it take you to recover after a hard session?
If any of those feel off, the nutritional dimension is probably part of the answer.
A note: These are general nutritional starting points for active adults — not medical advice. If you have specific health conditions or take medications, check with your doctor before making any changes.
